Millions of people around the world are desperately waiting to have their own copy of God’s Word. You can help meet that need and see lives transformed through the Bible.

Please consider giving someone their very own Bible in their heart language.

Give the gift of God’s Word

We want to thank you because, despite the difficulties many of us are facing, you have continued to support us, and helped transform lives through the provision of hundreds of thousands of Bibles across the world.

Everyone is doing their best to navigate through all the ways Christmas will be different for us and our families and friends this year. How wonderful that the centre of our celebrations at Christmas is the fact that God sent his Son Jesus to come and live as one of us. Whatever your thoughts about gifts this year, this is the greatest gift of all time for all people and we should celebrate it wholeheartedly.

Because the Bible leads us to Jesus and an understanding that he is the greatest gift to the world, we want to help more people receive the Bible as our gift to them. Many people are crying out for a Bible as they seek the hope, peace, joy and love found only in Jesus Christ.

Will you help us meet the ever-growing demand for Bibles around the world?

Please help people discover God’s greatest gift this year. Your support this Christmas will help to spread the Word of God and enhance the distribution of Scripture both here in Scotland and around the world.

Wishing you a very happy Christmas

Please consider giving a gift to the Scottish Bible Society this Christmas – and make a lasting difference to someone
living in the following countries:

In Ethiopia, the Faith Comes by Hearing (FCBH) audio programme runs so that people in remote villages can hear the Word of God in their own heart language via a Proclaimer Audio Bible.

Adanech is a member of the FCBH listening group in Odda, Ethiopia, and is pictured holding two things she treasures — her baby son, Daniel, and a Proclaimer Audio Bible.

‘Before, my life was broken but it has changed since I became part of this church in 2010. I have learned that the Word of God continuously changes us,’ she says.

Your generous gift could make a real difference to people just like Adanech.

In Ghana, West Africa, Bibles for School Children provides God’s Word for children attending Primary School in rural communities.

In Ghanaian schools, the Bible is part of the curriculum, but families must provide their own copy, and many simply can’t afford one. From 2013 the Bible Society in Ghana has responded to this need by providing Bibles for
6 – 12-year-olds. Increased Bible knowledge and positive changes in
pupils’ behaviour shows that God is at work amongst junior high school pupils who have already received Bibles!

A Christmas gift from you will mean that primary school-aged children can also benefit from God’s life-changing Word!

An online gift this Christmas can provide the Bible in new formats here
in Scotland.

Your support means that we can produce innovative and contemporary Bible resources in print, like our magazine-style Gospel of Mark.
Mark: The Time has Come was published in March 2020 and was designed to attract a new readership.

Your gift could help someone in Scotland to encounter God in his Word for the first time.
