To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfil every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 (ESV)
Welcome to the new-look âRead and Pray Around the Worldâ.
We trust you will find it engaging, informative and above all easy-to-use as you join us to pray for Bible Society work across the globe.
Launched to coincide with the start of our Bible 2020 initiative, the readings for each day are taken from the Bible 2020 reading plan. Every day this year we ask you to pray for our work and also to read the verses of Scripture aloud in whatever situation you find yourself, whether at home, at work, or even in a public place. In doing so youâll become part of Bible 2020 – a global movement bringing all voices and languages together in proclaiming Godâs Word across our world every day during 2020.
If you havenât already done so please go to bible2020.org to find out more about this exciting global initiative.
May I also thank you for your partnership in the gospel as you stand with us in prayer. Your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated. It is a great encouragement to our staff in Bible House to know that as we pray these prayers daily, there are others supporting us in prayer too. For it is only with Godâs intervention that we can accomplish all that we hope to do â may it be for his glory!
