How do you motivate Christians to support their local Bible Society? This challenge is at the heart of what Action Groups are about. Across Scotland, our Action Groups form a vital and strategic network to support the work of the Scottish Bible Society.

As an Action Group member, you are…

  • Committed to the Bible;
  • Passionate about making the Word of God available around the world;
  • Enthusiastic about working as part of a team and encouraging your local community to engage with our work.

Our Action Groups vary in size and approach, but the main focus is fundraising within their local churches and communities. Money raised goes towards our vital project work in Scotland and around the world.

You will be…

  • Organising fundraising events such as coffee mornings, collections or sponsored events (such as a ‘Walk for the Word’ event);
  • Thinking of creative ways to fundraise and spread the word;
  • Encouraging potential and existing supporters.
